Oceanaire Lodge, your tropical
paradise. |
Welcometo
this lovely place, you tropical paradise at the Fort
Pierce Inlet.
The accommodations are efficient one and
two bedroom apartments. The dock next to the swimming pool is a popular
fishing spot (for guests and friends). The rates start at $59.- , what
is considering the location, reasonable. And if you would like to see the
Sun coming up over the Atlantic Ocean, the beach is only two or three minutes
walking from the lodge, while restaurants are just as close. |
You may
reach the
OCEANAIRE LODGE in several
ways.
By car, coming from the North, you can follow
Hwy. 1 and cross over the Intra Coastal Waterway bridge on the Seaway Drive
at Ft. Pierce, pass US Coast Guard and Fire Department stations, keep going
¾ mile past the traffic lights, you will see the OCEANAIRE
LODGE at the left side.
You can also follow the scenic route along
the A1A. That you can do from Atlantic Beach, East of Jacksonville, which
you reach by Interstate 95 from the North or Interstate 10 from the West.
Don't get lost In Jacksonville like I did. So good planning the trip is
essential. The A1A brakes off at some points. Near Port Orange you have
to get on Hwy. 1. Depending on if you want to see a shuttle lounge or non
is scheduled, you take the 528 East at Cocoa or 192 E at Melbourne. The
A1A will bring the than to the North Bridge at Pt. Pierce and Hwy. 1 South.
Only one mile and you turn East on the Seaway Drive and the South Bridge.
Then as described before.
If you like the speedier way, you could
just follow the 95 all the way; get off on the 68; this will bring you
directly to the pretty center of Fort Pierce.
You go left on Indian River Drive (707) and in two minutes at 25 Mls/hr,
you reach the Seaway Dr. and South Bridge over the Intra Coastal Waterway.
Then again as already described before. |
|
And you will be pleasantly
surprised that you by coming to the OCEANAIRE
LODGE you have escaped the crowds of other beach resorts on
the Treasure Coast.
Jim Goertler,
the manager is a man who you have to love for his pleasant demeanor; and
he does not mind to get his hands dirty either. He knows that guest service
is #1 in the hospitality industry. And the rest of the staff is just as
ready and willing to help as Jim.
